SKCCTV – COMPANY PROFILE

Who we are:

Silent Knight Closed Circuit Surveillance Systems was established and registered as a Closed Corporation in June 2002.Our main member and founder of the company Ryan Brews, has always had a passion for electronics and security, from humble beginnings as a wireman in the alarm industry to establishing and running a well-established respectable Security Company. SKCCTV has been in operation for 16 years and is proud to have a loyal client base that consists of well-established Company’s, small to medium enterprises, Private Schools and a few of our original domestic clients. It is important to note that our core business is CCTV.

We pride ourselves as a premier Electronic Security Installation company and believe in 100% transparency with all our clients, at inception we are prepared to disclose our costs upfront if the client is comfortable with this. Our Service Level Agreement is one of a kind, and was conceptualized and modified through years of servicing and maintaining all types’ electronic security systems and applications in most Industries. Many of the fundamentals in our Agreement arise from listening and learning from our clients as to what they expect or require from a Service Level Agreement.

Our philosophy:

Our aim is, and always has been to educate the end user about the hazards of using low level Electronic Security systems and equipment. The South African Security industry is saturated with cheap CCTV cameras and other electronic security related equipment. Very often the client forgets about the long term service delivery and reliability implications of using the wrong installation company and electronic security equipment to protect their investments, we are here to assist and advise our clients every step of the way.

At SKCCTV there are no short cuts, everything we install is implemented to last, and we believe in long term Electronic Security solutions that can be relied upon in any circumstances that may prevail. If we are going to service or maintain your system under our unique Service Level Maintenance plan, the existing or new system would need to have been installed to our high standards or we would suggest a re-install, repair or slow upgrade. We would investigate the integrity of such systems and provide the client with a full report before moving forward, should the client require this.

We design security solutions with our prospective clients input; the client may also need direction and advice when discussing a security solution for their premises, it is critical to listen to the client’s needs as well. If we combine these factors together with the clients input, with our experience and sound knowledge of the best electronic security equipment available in the market place today, we are then, very often, able to customize a unique solution for the client that will actually work and deliver. (Correct camera placement is the main ingredient and secret to an effective CCTV Solution, proven, fact)

Camera positioning, sound electronic security system experience and back up service are critical issues to consider, when electing the correct CCTV and Electronic Security installation company to protect your assets, staff, and family at home or in your business.

Please find as below images and literature regarding a few of our High End systems as implemented into many different applications, for security and confidentiality reasons our clients and their location’s will not be disclosed.

The below image is an overview camera mounted onto a sturdy post with a full Multimode Fibre Optic cable for video signal to monitoring office, the monitoring office is approximately 2km away:

In this application we have an HD Camera 2.1Mp (1920x1080) with its own inspection box, as can be seen the sprag piping (flexible pipe) runs to the main inspection box where the Fibre Optic Transmitter is housed and then to the smaller camera inspection box, all this equipment is safe from harshest elements and can be easily accessed (if you have a key for the padlock) for servicing purposes. There is another camera watching this camera as part of the cross referencing coverage of the area, this ensures that any tampering would be recorded. These cameras are monitoring a walkway and a compound.

Perimeter Surveillance solution incorporating beam alarm, lighting and sms notification:

Here we have a wireless, lightning proof HD camera solution on a perimeter wall with LED floodlights, this is integrated into an alarm system, an infra beam protects this section of the wall, the alarm is automated and arms itself at a certain time and then disarms at a certain time, should the alarm be triggered, it will turn on the floodlights and the camera will be displayed for the guards to see, it also raises an alarm in the control room to alert the guards, the system sends sms’s to inform the caretaker of the status of the alarm system, armed, disarmed , alarm condition and mains fail &restore. Due to the systems reliability, this system has already assisted in apprehending a burglar, it does not false alarm, and is very stable.

Technical:

The post is a 3m 75x75 square tube, rawl bolted to the wall, painted with anti-rust and final matt black paint, all holes are closed with rubber grommets, the inspection box houses all the electronics and a dedicated AC Plug point has been provided for, the mains is lightning protected.

Number plate capture, make, model and colour of vehicle:

Description: Description: Description: Description: Description: Description: Description: Description: Description: Description: Description: Description: C:\Documents and Settings\ryan\Desktop\Plate.JPG

A classic image of a vehicle entry exit point, at any speed, day or night the system will capture the number plate, make and model of the vehicle, in extreme conditions at night sometimes the bright lights of the vehicle blind the camera and the number plate is not eligible, in applications such as this, we recommend a camera with built in white light compensation or peak white inversion. If you enlarge this document you will see all the images clearly, all the images have been saved at 3mp.

Bio-metric Fingerprint Access Control and Facial Identification Surveillance Solution:

Facial identification, each motorist passing through the premises has to present their finger at the bio-metric reader for access or egress; a clear HD quality clip will be captured of each person’s face and this can be used effectively in a court of law due to the perfect quality. (Infallible evidence)

Technical:

Vandal proof, 5mp Dome Camera (2560X1960P) with a wide angle lens 2.8mm, currently the industry standard is 2.1Mp; in this case we have opted for double the industry standard in video quality. The first image is the inspection box nicely bolted to a specialized bracket that is secured to the top of the goose neck.

Remote View, using a Smartphone or I-phone app:

Technical:

As can be seen, clean clear HD Video streaming from a smartphone App, however it is important to note that the smart phone application can do the following: Take a snap shot or mini video clip while viewing footage, this is saved to a folder in the App on the phone memory (SD card), turn on/off flood lights, alarm, electric Fence, and more importantly remotely playback footage of an incident that may have occurred recently or a few days ago. How far back you could go to search for footage would depend the size of the Hard Drive in the remote recorder.

Hence the recorder could be hidden away without a mouse or monitor connected to it, and yet one would have full remote control of the cameras by simply using your smartphone App.

We always recommend a solid reliable internet connection via ADSL or preferably Fibre.

No easy way out:

Technical:

In this application, the client required specific views, it was agreed that these were the only positions to achieve the correct views, and that this was the best place to fit two 2mp HD Vari-Focal Bullet Cameras back to back. The high ledge at the corner of a building is three feet of solid re-enforced concrete, the architect and builder were called in to approve the drilling of the slab for the reticulation to the cameras.

At SKCCTV we go to great lengths to get the correct shot, while adhering to the architecture and aesthetics of the building, we believe there is no easy way out when it comes to professional high end Surveillance solutions.

Shell Garage:

Clean, clear, crisp images, and perfectly positioned cameras. This is one of the best applications to prove the worth of a correctly implemented CCTV System. As a true management tool, the CCTV System will always provide tangible and intangible answers to any situation or incident that may arise. As a 24 hour operation, a filling station has many situations to deal with, such as contamination (Diesel filled into a non-Diesel vehicle), non-payment of fuel (drive offs, pump damage), sweetheart tilling, theft by consumption, poor productivity, armed robberies and outright theft of merchandise.

Technical:

In applications such as this there can be no compromise in quality only the best equipment can be used, Dahua Bullet cameras, 4 Mega Pixel HD (2240x1680) with Vari focal 2.8-12 mm were used on the forecourt, these cameras have Motorized lenses that auto correct and keep the focus clear at all times, no matter what the lighting conditions. A real time Hikvision 32 Ch IP NVR was used and 4 x 4 TB surveillance drives were fitted for recording purposes. Point of sale overlay was also incorporated onto the POS Cameras; this will place a live till stamp onto the recorded CCTV image for that till point. The client would then be able to audit how many Cokes went through the till point that week and reference this with the stock at the storeroom. In some cases the cashier may scan the barcode and use their hand to block the scan.

Conclusion:

Silent Knight CCTV will always do things differently and not conform to industry standards; we will aim higher, in our unique approach to finding the ultimate Electronic Security Solution for the prospective client. We are able to do this because we have a deep understanding of the South African Security industry. Furthermore we are able to specify exactly when and where to apply the correct product and reticulation that best suits the application.

Silent Knight CCTV will strive to be prompt, professional and efficient at all times.
